Ok, so that was a tad dramatic and… yes, even a bit anti-climatic, but what can you do, it’s a release date announcement, so just roll with it. March 21st. I used to think you could tell a film’s quality based on when the film’s released theatrically, but every ‘dump month’ seems to have at least one diamond in the rough, making my theory that anything released in the first three months of the year is gonna suck totally dumbfounded. 300 rocked it in March, so maybe… just maybe… there’s hope yet for SHUTTER.
This also means that I have about four months to get my grubby hands on the original, as I’ve heard it’s one of the scarier flicks out there. As a recap, SHUTTER basically goes like this: In Tokyo, a young couple (Jackson and Taylor) on their honeymoon first begin to see ghostly images in their photos … Word on that.
So mark your calendars and get your asses ready for SHUTTER in theaters March 21st. And yes, Rachael Taylor just may be hot enough to make a trip to the theater worthwhile.
