Looks like M. Night Shymalan’s ready to shake off the disappointing reaction he got for THE VILLAGE and get back to work. His next project will be called, with characteristic specificity, LADY IN THE WATER. The tale will concern a superintendent of an apartment building who finds a rare type of sea nymph swimming in the apartment pool.
Ahhh, I see. The hook is that she’s a rare type of sea nymph. Not one of those that you run into at Burger King all the time. Speaking of rare nymphs, lets all take a moment to enjoy the stunning pic of WWE Superstar Amy Weber to our right. I sense she may have been somebody’s muse.
Now exactly what genre this is going to fall into is unclear at this point. However, there has always been a strong undercurrent of horror in Shymalan’s work, so gotta figure this will provide more of the same.
One big difference this time is that Warner Bros. is producing instead of his usual partner, Disney. Said a MouseHouse rep, “We have a terrific relationship with Night, and although we didn’t agree creatively on this particular project, we look forward to working with him in the future.”
Uh-huh. I guess that delivering three blockbusters in four films still isn’t enough to insulate a filmmaker from studio interference. No wonder Spielberg started Dreamworks.
Now since M. Night tends to work in the PG-13 arena, let me be the first to suggest the swimsuit below for the probably can’t be naked nymph. And then I’ll slap up one more of Amy Weber, too. If you have to ask why, I don’t wanna know ya.
