Hopefully you’re not looking for details about M. Night Shyamalan’s post-LAST AIRBENDER film, because you won’t find any here. Or anywhere else. In fact, it may not even be a horror movie, that’s how little we know about it. But usually the guy is good for some creepy genre material (at least in theory), so let’s roll with it and then wait and see…
According to the HeatVisionBlog, the SIXTH SENSE director is shopping around a new project, one which is completely under wraps in true M. Night. style. Apparently, “only top studio execs have read the script, and they were required to allow a Shyamalan assistant to supervise the process. When the execs finished reading, the assistant took the script back and left”. Gee, that must be a fun reading atmosphere…
Additionally, Bruce Willis, Gwyneth Paltrow and Bradley Cooper are all “loosely attached” to appear in the flick. Willis of course starred in SIXTH SENSE and UNBREAKABLE for Shyamalan, but the other two would be newbies to his world. In a way, Cooper is the weirdest person involved here. Willis isn’t quite the star he used to be, and Paltrow is now mostly known for her (gag) blog and being Iron Man’s secretary. Cooper, however, is on his way to potential A-list status, the antithesis to the other three’s diminishing relevance. Perhaps he’s the lead, with Willis taking on a secondary role?
All speculation for now. Hopefully we’ll learn more about this one very soon.
