So what’s your reward for burying Ryan Reynolds 6-feet deep in a pine-box? Why, land the one and only Ripley in your follow-up flick, of course!
That’s right y’all! According to the Bloody-D gang, BURIED director Rodrigo Cortes has just landed Sigourney Weaver to star in his follow up film, a paranormal chiller called RED LIGHTS. Quite a day for any young man, I’d imagine!
Weaver, who has such upcoming genre efforts as PAUL, NIGHT TRAIN and the oft-rumored GHOSTBUSTERS III, is said to play a character named Margaret Matheson in RED LIGHTS. The film, about how the brain does not give a true picture of reality, follows a para-psychologist who attempts to debunk a very reputable psychic who has just returned to the limelight after 30 years.
Sounds decent enough, eh? Besides, it’s always good to see Weaver hark back to her Dana Barrett days and mix it up para-psychologist style (even if not in GB3).
What do you cats think? Diggin’ how Weaver still champions our brand of cinema? Stoked to see her work with Cortes in RED LIGHTS?
Let’s hear what ya got!
