First, it was The Cult’s Billy Duffy, and now The Hot Rod.

Former WWE wrestler ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper is in talks to join the cast of Ethan Dettenmaier’s upcoming horror flick SIN JIN-SMYTH. Piper, who graced us with his presence in John Carpenter’s THEY LIVE and, erm, HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN, is currently in talks to play an unspecified role in the film, which co-stars Richard Tyson and Jason Hildebrandt. As stated above, Billy Duffy of 80’s rockers The Cult is on board as well, and will contribute original guitar work to the score. Duffy will also serve as Music Supervisor for the film, and will also play a rogue government agent in the film, who specializes in interrogation and torture.

An interesting cast, SIN JIN-SMYTH also stars Jonathan Davis of the band Korn, and Lee Ving of the LA punk-rock band FEAR. SIN JIN-SMYTH is set for a 2006 release.
