Skins screenwriter Jack Thorne to pen Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Sandman

Warner Bros. still has a lot of work to do with their big screen version of Neil Gaiman‘s SANDMAN comics, but they have found one very important piece needed for their planned movie: a screenwriter. Deadline has learned Jack Thorne will write the script for SANDMAN, based on a pitch by David S. Goyer.

Thorne is probably best known for his script work in television (SKINS, THE FADES, THIS IS ENGLAND), but he also provided material for HOW I LIVE NOW, and wrote the screenplays for THE SCOUTING BOOK FOR BOYS and the upcoming Nick Hornby adaptation A LONG WAY DOWN.
