Sony Pictures’ HOLLOW MAN 2 began shooting in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, starring Christian Slater (who recently starred in the slap-in-the-face adaptation of the classic videogame ALONE IN THE DARK), Laura Regan (THEY and MY LITTLE EYE) and William MacDonald. Directed by Claudio Fäh (who last directed the action-comedy CORONADO in 2003) from a script by Dimension Films’ Joel Soisson (who seems to love producing DTV fare). Slater stars as a volunteer soldier/assassin who goes mad after he turns invisible. But unlike in the first film, the latest invisible psycho faces an invisible hero: A cop trying to protect the story’s heroine (Regan).
As before, the invisibility experiments affect the subjects both mentally and physically, though now, the characters become mutated once they reappear. A source close to the production likens the look of the dudes to THE ELEPHANT MAN.
HOLLOW MAN 2 will be shooting for a total of 29 days. A theatrical release will be considered after the film wraps.
