I absolutely adore Felissa Rose, she broke out with a little genre classic SLEEPAWAY CAMP as Angela, and every time she pops up I always take notice.
Well fans Felissa has a brand new project in the works simply titled PRIMAL, with an announcement forthcoming at the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival.
Prinicple Photography for the new flick is shooting in the Mojave Desert, and should wrap by this weekend in time for the Festival.
Indie horror icon, Felissa Rose will be busy this weekend. She finishes Principal Photography on her new horror flick, Primal, Friday, currently being shot in the Mojave Desert of California. From there, she travels up to the San Bernadino Mountains in time for the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival, where she will be a judge this year. Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival is in its third year showcasing the new hot movies and old classics.
Primal is the story about Cassie, a young girl haunted by the unexplained death of her mother fifteen years earlier. She travels to her grandmother’s house for answers. What she finds instead will haunt her forever, if she can survive.
“Primal has heart and a lot of character,” Felissa says, “but also it will scare the pants off you and keep you on the edge of your seat.”
“The setting alone is eerie and harsh,” she said about the Mojave Desert, “but put a ghost in the mix, an angry mother at that, and you get a terrifying result.”
John T. Sweeney, the producer alongside Felissa, agrees that if just working in this part of the dessert at night is scary, he can only imagine how scary it will be on film.
