Smith says State is next

It was just last week that Mike gave you all a small update on Kevin Smith’s RED STATE and questioned on if we’ll ever get to see it.

Well Mr. Smith (right) must’ve heard our man because he recently spoke to SciFi.com and gave an interesting update on RED STATE:

“First, I’m going to do a 180 turn and do a horror movie called Red State. It’s going to be a total horror-political-psychological movie without a funny line in it…”

So after the potentially hilarious ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO, Smith will be diving right into RED STATE? That’s completely out of left field but I’ll definately take it! Smith is one of my favorite directors, dare I say a personal hero, so seeing him tackle the genre has me tickled with excitement.

Once ZACK AND MIRI hits theaters we should be hearing a lot more on RED STATE, so keep it here for updates.
