One of my favorite lines from BLADE? Motherf*cker, have you lost your damn mind!?” Unfortunately, I think it’s time that Mr. Snipes asks himself that question.
It’s reported today that he has sued New Line Cinema, writer-director David Goyer and executive producer Toby Emmerich over just about everything having to do with BLADE: TRINITY in a $5 million dollar federal lawsuit. What???
Look, I know he was pissed about how the whole sequel went down. He made that clear pretty early on in the process. But his lawsuit is over everything from garnished wages, short payments (3 out of 13 mil) and racism. In fact he goes so far as to claim that the cast was purposely made mostly white in order to isolate him.
Uh-huh.
Now don’t get me worng. The money stuff, you gotta do what you gotta do. But he gets into some conspiracy level stuff on top of the racsim allegations that just make it sound like he got so into character that his brain went a little LORD OF THE FLIES on him.
