Soldiers vs vamps

To start off, I’ve gotta say that I find the concept for the following flick fascinating! It’s really right up my alley. Check this: Army guys versus blood-suckers! It’s an independent horror/action hybrid from first-time filmmaker, Donovan Cerminara (right) called OPERATION: SUNRISE. The flick was shot entirely in Poland and just finished postproduction. Have a look at its amazing plot:

Set in 1991 during Poland’s withdrawal of the Soviet Union, a group of international soldiers descend upon a village in the aftermath of some unknown sort of civil unrest and anarchy. They have no support or warning of the nature of their enemy… Upon ambush and the breakdown of their squad, the survivors are taken in by the local villagers (who have a strong taste for blood), only to have their own secrets and pasts destroy the tenuous peace of the community and each other.

Sounds pretty far out and I’m totally down for that! It’s like a war horror flick with vampires! Bring it, I says! That pic from the flick below is pretty sweet too. For more images, click here.
