Over at composer Chris Young’s site, you can check out five tracks from the Varese Sarabande release of the GHOST RIDER soundtrack, which hits February 13th. Young, who also did the score for THE GRUDGE 2, also elaborated on the genesis of the score itself.
The score was recorded with a massive orchestra and choir in June 2006 and features 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoon, 8 horns, 3 trumpets, 4 trombones, 1 tuba, 4 percussion, 1 harp, 1 piano, 52 strings and 32 choir voices. Damn, I guess you can expect the score to be more of the gothic variety, which obviously suits the film. Here’s hoping that the Music Inspired By soundtrack is just as impressive.
