Horror television is hot right now, and Spain isn’t letting the trend pass them by. According to Variety, top TV producer Globomedia is embarking on a high-concept werewolf series called MOON.
The show will star Belen Rueda (pictured right) – of THE ORPHANAGE and JULIA’S EYES fame – as a judge sent to investigate mysterious occurrences in the benighted village of Calenda.
Spain’s first show to revolve around lycanthropes, MOON will also reportedly have a teen romance story (of course it will), with the judge’s daughter falling for a local civil guard officer, to be played by Fran Perea.
With a production budget of roughly $688,000US per episode, MOON will start shooting during the first quarter of 2012.
