HYBRID looks just like a cross between CHRISTINE (of course) and P2? There appears to be a ton of crash-‘n-bash action and a bad-ass female heroine. I’m just curious if the HYBRID is possessed or there’s someone evil behind the wheel. Regardless, I’m more than willing to find out. Now, steer your eyes down to the plot:
Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The garage’s female mechanic, Tilda, and her young, hip fellow mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own: it morphs into different cars to confuse them and instead of needing an engine to run, it breathes. It’s a killing machine that is capable of outrunning and outwitting humans. In a high-octane fight to the death.
Perhaps the HYBRID is possessed… by Lizzie Grubman (remember when she backed into a bunch of people?). The flick was directed by Eric Valette from a script by Benjamin Carr. It stars Shannon Beckner, Oded Fehr, and Ryan Kennedy. The release date is for some time in 2009.
