Fan-made Spider-Man posters, no way home

Sony Pictures and Marvel have yet to release an official poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home but that hasn’t stopped cinemas from figuring out a way to showcase images inspired by the film to promote the movie at their locations. Movie theaters have begun to display fan-made posters for Spider-Man’s latest adventure and a lot of them feature Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, effectively suggesting that the latter two are actually in the film.

Fan-made content for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been popping up everywhere online and a Twitter account named Spider-Man News has round up photos of some movie theaters using the content by hanging the one-sheets up on their walls. Who needs official key art when hardcore fans can probably come up with something just as good? You can check out some of the images below!

Normally when a film releases a trailer it is accompanied by official key art but that has not been the case with Spider-Man: No Way Home. The marketing of this film seems to be very meticulous because they don’t want to give much away despite all of the fan speculation going around online about who is officially in the movie or not. Everyone from Charlie Cox’s Daredevil to Maguire and Garfield returning as Spider-Man in this new multiverse story is suspected but Sony and Marvel are being very hush-hush about everything. Honestly, I prefer it this way because marketing can tend to give away far too much before a film is released.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021, (which is an awesome birthday present for me) and we do know that Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and he’ll officially be joined by Zendaya, Maria Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, and J.B. Smoove. Anything else is just pure speculation at this point.

What are YOUR thoughts on the fan-made posters being used in movie theaters?
