Stalked – WTF?

Y’know sometimes I can’t even figure out my opinions on things. Take the upcoming HD feature STALKED. It began its life as THE HARVEST, but went through some ch-ch-changes. New production team, new script, new title. All of this was explained in lengthy and entertaining detail by director Ryan Heppe in a recent press release.

On top of the behind the scenes switcheroos, Ryan gives a blow by blow on the production difficulties which include loss of DP, lead actor getting face smashed at Buffet concert, psycho lead actress, schedule ruining weather and a plague of locusts (OK, I made the last one up). Made for a great read. Unfortunately it also made the possibility of this flick being worth anybody’s time sound somewhat less likely than ever seeing Jennifer Love Hewitt’s breasts.

So I did my duty and checked out the teaser trailer. Took forever to download, and then, man I still don’t know. Kinda good acting, but not really. Kinda good dialogue sample, but not really. Definitely beautiful to look at, but oh so mellow. It’s like Terrence Malick decided to direct a slasher flick.

So what’s all this come down to? Dude, I’m just not sure, but this ain’t 1984 and The Arrow ain’t Big Brother. So check this crazy little thing out and see what you think. At the very least you can enjoy some nice boobs.
