Everyone wants to get in on celebrating the 60th anniversary of Star Trek, including AMC Theatres and Cinemark, which are marking six decades of space exploration, thinly veiled political commentary, and groundbreaking science fiction stories with special screenings of classic TV episodes alongside digitally restored versions of the franchise’s beloved feature films.
Kicking off September 4, 2026, AMC will host double-feature events featuring the original cast, culminating in an all-day marathon presentation on September 8.
Here are the pairings and showtimes from Cinemark’s website, which may vary by location. AMC has not listed showtimes yet.
I suggest following AMC’s and Cinemark’s social media accounts, as that’s where much of this information comes from.
At concession stands, fans can grab 60th-anniversary collectibles, including commemorative popcorn buckets, drink cups, and removable replicas of the Starship Enterprise.
If a movie marathon isn’t enough, Regal Cinemas will host a screening on October 9 for The Sixty-Year Mission: How Star Trek Changed Television And The World. The documentary features William Shatner alongside Trek icons like Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, Ethan Peck, Robert Picardo, Christina Chong, Denise Crosby, and Nana Visitor, with select locations hosting live celebrity Q&As.
The “epic documentary reveals how bold artistic choices, behind-the-scenes conflicts, and groundbreaking ideas came together to create an enduring television classic. Through exclusive interviews and never-before-seen archival materials, The Sixty-Year Mission uncovers that truth is indeed stranger than science-fiction.”
