Star Wars: Andor renewed for season two at Disney+

Disney has reportedly given the green light to a second season of Star Wars: Andor before season one has even premiered.

During a Swedish interview, Stellan Skarsgård told Dagens Nyheter (via What’s On Disney Plus) that Disney has already approved a second season for the show and that shooting will commence later this year. Here is what he had to say:

“We start with [filming Dune: Part Two] in July. And then in the autumn, it’s time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor. I do not know when they will start broadcasting it. It will take some time so that it does not take too long between season one and season two.”

Season one of Star Wars: Andor has yet to air but Disney is currently scheduling its premiere for some time during the fourth quarter of the year. Diego Luna is set to reprise his role as the titular Rebellion hero Cassian Andor, with the series following his adventures set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Forest Whitaker and Genevieve O’Reilly will also return as Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothama alongside new cast additions that include Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Rober Emms.

Are YOU excited for Star Wars: Andor and that it’s already been greenlit for season two?
