Disney’s Star Wars IX, Frozen 2, Indiana Jones & more all get release dates!

Quick, run to the "miscellaneous crap" drawer in your kitchen or office, grab your boldest Sharpie marker, and scribble the following dates onto your calendar! Why? Um, because The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm have announced a bunch of major upcoming release dates for several of their films including: STAR WARS: EPISODE IX the fifth chapter in the INDIANA JONES saga, the sequel to FROZEN, GIGANTIC, the newly titled WRECK-IT RALPH SEQUEL, MAGIC CAMP, and a whole lot more!

As I was saying, STAR WARS: EPISODE IX is now set for release on May 24, 2019. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film will close out the third Star Wars trilogy. Additionally, the fifth chapter of the Indiana Jones series is now confirmed for a July 10, 2020 release. Both Steven Spielberg, director of every Indiana Jones film, and star Harrison Ford will return.So whether you fancy yourself a light saber wielding badass or a whip-cracking adventurer (or both), be sure to fix your work time card in advance so that you can take sull advantage of these momentous cinematic occasions!

Okay, let's go down the list and break down some of the details and dates for the other titles that have been announced, this afternoon, shall we?

GIGANTIC, the long-gestating animated musical based ont he classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk is now scheduled for a November 25, 2020 release.

The newly titled WRECK-IT RALPH SEQUEL is moving from its original March 9 of 2018 release schedule to the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 21, 2018.

Ava DuVernay's A WRINKLE IN TIME (in 3D) which is based on the book of the same name  and stars Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Rowan Blanchard and Zach Galifianakis will now find its way into theaters starting on March 9, 2018.

In place of A WRINKLE IN TIME's original release date will be MAGIC CAMP, which will now open on April 6, 2018.

TOY STORY 4 is still set for its June 21, 2019 release date while we still have to wait far too long for when CAPTAIN MARVEL swoops into theaters on March 8, 2019.
