Review:
Tough call on this movie. I’d seen it once before, and it hadn’t done much for me the first time around, but this time, it actually intrigued me…most of the way.

Unfortunately, this movie ultimately takes an interesting premise, which is a gateway to another planet, and doesn’t do all that much with it. I LOVED the Kurt Russell character, who always seems to get right into that type of role, and Spader was solid (give this guy a lead in a GREAT movie already!), but about halfway through, the movie just didn’t interest me all that much anymore.

I can’t really pinpoint the problem, but I guess it’s the lack of energy or something. I did like the special effects, the premise and the “idea” of the movie, but the execution as a whole, was missing that extra spark.

I also loved the way they made Jaye Davidson’s eyes light up all white like that! Very cool. Wish we could do that in real life!

BTW, how old is that guy? He looked like he was 12 in most of those shots. Anyhoo, an “okay” movie, a little too long but fairly entertaining, in my opinion.

And what did the rest of ya’ll think?
