Starlight: Joe Cornish to write and direct comic book movie

Attack the Block helmer, Joe Cornish, is set to write and direct an adaptation of Mark Millar's Starlight for 20th Century Studios.

Hopping aboard the Starlight train as producers are Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon via Genre Films, with Nira Park also producing. Known primarily for directing Attack the Block, an outstanding alien invasion film that helped jump-start John Boyega's career, Cornish also shot The Kid Who Would Be King, and shares writing credits on both Ant-Man and The Adventures of Tin-Tin.
