Stay at the Hocus Pocus cottage this fall

You can stay at any residence in horror movie history, what do you pick? There’s the Myers residence or the Lutz’s Amityville house. How about the Poltergeist house built on an Indian burial ground or cabin 1 at the Bates Motel? Or maybe you’re looking for somewhere tamer and more, say, Disney-esque. This October, Hocus Pocus fans have the opportunity to stay at a recreation of the Sanderson Sisters cottage.

Airbnb has teamed with Disney to let some lucky fans of the 1993 movie–and its sequel–to stay at the cottage. The Sanderson Sisters themselves are cordially “inviting guests into a land of enchantment with a stay at a recreation of our Salem cottage, where those with a penchant for mysticism can explore our spine-chilling haunt as All Hallows’ Eve approaches.” The offering is for a one-night stay on October 20 at just $31 a night. And no, like Hocus Pocus 2, Thora Birch will not be there.

The Airbnb listing notes that “guests can run amok this Halloween season when the soul-stealing, spellbinding trio invites visitors to get into the Halloween ‘spirit’ with an overnight stay at the scene of [the sisters’] scheming.”

But it’s not just a sleepover; it’s a full-blown Hocus Pocus experience from Airbnb, complete with testing out “enchantments enshrined in the ancient spellbook that guided the sisters in all their mischief”, a tour of some of nearby Salem’s history and a screening of Hocus Pocus 2.

Those looking to partake in the stay and festivities can try to book their stay beginning October 12 at https://airbnb.com/hocuspocus2.

This is not the first time horror movie fans have had the chance to stay at an iconic locale. Last year, Airbnb offered Scream fans multiple opportunities to party at Stu Macher’s house–garage door access included.

What do you think of this exclusive offer to Hocus Pocus fans? Which horror movie residence would you like to stay overnight at?
