Not quite sure what a STEPFATHER theme-park attraction would contain… I guess a guy in a tie chasing you around with an axe? If you’re just as curious, you can go to L.A.’s famous KNOTTS BERRY FARM to find out this October, because according to CreepyLA.com, the amusement park will be featuring a “scarezone” based on the upcoming Sony film.
Apparently the haunted maze was originally going to be based on ZOMBIELAND, but Sony opted for THE STEPFATHER instead. Odd choice, no? You’d think zombies would be more persuasive in a setting like this, but I guess Sony feels different.
In case you’re unaware (and I wouldn’t blame you if that’s the case), THE STEPFATHER – the 1987 genre classic starring Terry O’Quinn as a deranged murderer looking for the perfect family to settle down with – has been remade by the team behind the PROM NIGHT remake. Ugh. It stars Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Amber Heard (pictured below) and Christopher Meloni. It opens on OCTOBER 16th. Hit up the official site HERE.
