Frank Darabont and the rest of the folks behind “THE WALKING DEAD” are pulling out all the stops for the anticipated second season of the show. Edgar Wright was recently offered an opportunity to direct an episode (which he rejected, unfortunately). Now word is out that Stephen King (above) may write one.
At a recent panel for the show, actress Laurie Holden (below) dropped the bomb that the unstoppable author is in talks to pen an episode. King is no stranger to the undead, having written the zombie novel Cell. Do you like the idea of having these special guests, or are you worried that the show will jump the shark?
At the same panel, actor Jon Bernthal said that Darabont will not direct the second season premiere (as he did for the first), but he will likely helm an episode later in the season. The hit show will return to AMC later this year, presumably in October. As of now, stories are still being developed.
