Julian Gilbey’s A LONELY PLACE TO DIE (formerly known as THE LONG WEEKEND) is gearing up for its AFM showing next week, and in anticipation of that we’ve got a few treats to share from the flick.
First, a couple of stills featuring Aussie hottie Melissa George, then the flick’s promo poster. Add to that a pretty cool behind-the-scenes video, complete with a voice-over from director Gilbey himself who talks us through what’s been going on with A LONELY PLACE. Looks like a very impressive production, although if you’re not a fan of heights, you’d do best to avoid at all costs…
A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands, practicing for a more dangerous ascent of the Eiger later in the year. On the second day of their trek one of the party hears a noise. They follow the sound and chance upon an air-pipe that is sticking out of the ground. They can hear the cries of a person from beneath the earth. They start digging and soon discover an eight year old Russian girl buried in a small chamber. She is terrified, dehydrated, half-starved and can’t speak a word of English.
Thanks to “Alan” for the tip!
