Stranger Things Season 2 first look: The gang dressed as Ghostbusters!

I think I speak for all of Americans (or, you know, like, three of us) when I say no one cares about the Super Bowl. Other than the commercials, that is. Yes, this time of year I, along with fu*k-zillions of others, tune into to skip the running and the huddling, and the throwing, and kicking, to peep the newest best commercials, trailers, and TV spots the entertainment industry has to offer.

Well those teasers and commercials just got a whole lot better (or should I say 'Stranger', would it be better I'd have said Stranger? Whatever) as this Sunday Netflix will air a new teaser to the cult (of everyone) hit series STRANGER THINGS!

EW just debuted an new image from said commercial, featuring my favorite character Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), along with Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) dressed as frickin' Ghostbusters! Nice. The nostalgia train keeps a-rollin', I see.

The second season of STRANGER THINGS is said to take place place in 1984 (the year a certain unnamed horror news editor was born), and in terms of the series, one year after the events of the first season. 1984 was, of course, the year GHOSTBUSTERS hit, and in a fun side-note, GHOSTBUSTERS and GREMLINS debuted on the SAME day back in '84. Cool, huh?

The new STRANGER THINGS season has been shrouded in secrecy, but executive producer Shawn Levy did offer EW this tease:

“The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t.”

Moo-haha. Check out the teaser pic below, and make sure to tune into the Super Bowl this weekend (like you weren't already) for the full STRANGER THINGS teaser.
