But alas, not all of us are that lucky. I’m talking about a new film coming from Alcon Entertainement called SUBSTITUTION.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick follows an emotional high school senior who unwittingly becomes embroiled in a murder plot orchestrated by his substitute teacher. I’ll stick with the sleeping thanks… that was highly enjoyable.
This actually sounds like it’s got some potential. Especially if they score the right cast. I’m sure you all remember THE SUBSTITUTE, that awesome Tom Berenger flick. That one seemed to fly more towards action than SUBSTITUTION does. Then there’s VIKAREN (THE SUBSTITUE), which The Arrow loved! That one seems to be in a league of it’s own.
But the thing I see here is that flicks about crazy ass substitute teachers seem to work! So here’s hoping SUBSTITUTION follows in those footsteps. It comes from Steve Crystal and Ian Shorr. Crystal along with Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson will be producing.
Aside from sleeping… all I remember about high school were the hot teachers (above) and the hot cheerleaders (below)… which were pretty much the only things worth remembering. We’ll keep you updated on SUBSTITUTION once we hear more.
