Succession: Brody, Skarsgard & Davis join the fight in Season 3 full trailer

HBO has dropped a new trailer for Succession Season 3 that introduces us to several new characters caught up in the Roy family shenanigans. Appearing in the new trailer alongside series regulars are Adrien Brody, Alexander Skarsgård, and Hope Davis.

Brody guest stars as Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor who becomes pivotal in the battle for the ownership of Waystar. Skarsgård enters the series as Lukas Matsson, described as a successful, confrontational tech founder and CEO. Meanwhile, Davis plays Sandi Furness, the daughter of Logan’s long-time rival, Sandy Furness (Larry Pine).

Here’s the official logline for Succession Season 3:

Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season two, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.

Succession follows the Roy family, who are known for controlling the biggest media and entertainment company in the world. However, their world changes when their father steps down from the company. The series stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, and J. Smith-Cameron. New cast additions for season three include Adrien Brody, Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae Kim, Hope Davis, Dasha Nekrasova, and Ella Rumpf.

Succession suffered several production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, filming conditions eventually changed, and the next chapter in the Roy family drama is ready to be delivered.

Season 3 of Succession will premiere on October 17, 2021.
