If you're a glutton for punishment, this trailer for SHOW DOGS might just be what the doctor ordered. Starring Will Arnett and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, the upcoming family comedy finds Detective Frank (Arnett) pairing up with K-9 partner Max (Ludacris) in order to go undercover at the world's most exclusive dog show to thwart an animal smuggling ring. I'm left with so many questions. At first I assumed that Max was once a human officer who had either been transformed or resurrected in his current form, but it seems that all the dogs in this universe can speak. Whether the humans can actually understand the dogs isn't made clear, and even though Frank seems to converse with Max, there's really no indication that he has any idea what Max is saying. I'm probably overthinking this, it's a talking dog movie that roped Stanley Tucci into voicing a chihuahua.
SHOW DOGS will be unleashed on May 18, 2018.
