Summit sets February release date for Gone with Amanda Seyfried

Summit Entertainment has set a February 24, 2012 release date for Lakeshore Entertainment’s GONE. It’s set to open in theaters against Joaquin Perea’s horror film THE DEVIL INSIDE and James Mather and Stephen St. Leger action/sci-fi flick LOCKOUT.

The thriller is currently in production in Portland, Oregon under the direction of Heitor Dhalia from a script by Allison Burnett (UNTRACEABLE). It stars Amanda Seyfried (below), Emily Wickersham, Wes Bentley, Erin Carufel (right), Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan and Socratis Otto.

The thriller revolves around a young woman named Jill (Seyfried) who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job.

But the police do not believe Jill, who knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, she sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.
