Between the recently announced HALLOWEEN 2 and the recently delayed TYRANNOSAURUS REX, it seems people have forgotten about one of Rob Zombie’s other projects. Of course I’m talking about THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten any updates on SUPERBEASTO. Hell the film is damn near finished, but we’re still waiting for a release date. Hopefully Zombie’s full schedule doesn’t back up SUPERBEASTO anymore. While we wait for a date for the R Rated animated adventure we’ve got a few new stills for the flick courtesy of Zombie’s official film website Zombie World.
I’ve gone ahead and thrown up some of the newer stills above and below, at least new to me. You can head right over here to check out larger shots. SUPERBEASTO stars the voice talents of Tom Papa, Paul Giamatti, Sheri Moon Zombie, Rosario Dawson, Danny Trejo, Brian Posehn, Tom Kenny, Geoffrey Lewis, Rob Paulsen, and Dan Roebuck. It’s based upon the comic from Rob Zombie, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is Rob’s new animated film, set in the mythic world of Monsterland, that follows the adventures of the crime-fighting secret agent El Superbeasto (Tom Papa) and his sexy sidekick and sister, Suzi-X (Sheri Moon Zombie). El Superbeasto is a massive over-the-hill masked wrestler who has more interest in strippers than adventure, but still manages to get involved with murdering super-intelligent gorillas, Liverpoolian zombies, and Dr. Satan (Paul Giamatti), a manic depressive mad scientist with a penchant for finding the perfect woman.
So go ahead and scope out the stills. Keep it here for any more SUPERBEASTO updates as we hear them. Hopefully we’ll be getting a release date, presumably on DVD, soon.
