My Man Eric showed you the DVD cover art for the UK release of GEORGE A. ROMERO’S SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD back in January (relive the magic HERE), a release scheduled for March 15, 2010. The date is still on, but the cover has changed… dramatically!
Scratching the black background and actual images from the film, the new cover rocks the house with a simpler white background, and an artist representation of a still from the film, like a cool old poster from the 50s and 60s. The verdict? The new cover brings a whole new level of coolness to the film!
While the word of mouth hasn’t been too hot on the flick, it is a Romero zombie flick, and for that it deserves a watch. And with the new DVD / Blu-ray art below, you can bet your ass it just swayed skeptics everywhere to give it a chance.
SURIVAVL OF THE DEAD hits DVD / Blu-ray in the UK on March 15, 2010, and on VOD in North America on April 30, with a theatrical release scheduled for May 28.
