Susan Sarandon stalking Jonah Hill in a new thriller?

Few people could make me think a thriller starring Susan Sarandon seeking revenge on Jonah Hill could work, but Mark and Jay Duplass are two of those people. The writer-directors, who worked with Hill on CYRUS, are setting up their next project titled PITCHFORK that follows that exact premise above.

In the film, Sarandon would play the mother of a recently deceased indie rocker. Crippled with grief, she focuses her rage on a snarky blogger for Pitchfork.com (Hill) who had been a vocal critic of her son’s work.

I should be quick to note that this is described as a “dramatic thriller” and not a horror film (don’t expect any Jonah Hill torture scenes). I should also note that while Hill and Sarandon are attached to the film, neither have signed on and the project may still be a ways off. The Duplass boys just finished the script and only recently showed it to Hill.

Mark and Jay are currently finishing up their latest film, JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME, a comedy starring Jason Segel and Ed Helms. Hill is currently shooting 21 JUMP STREET and has both THE SITTER and MONEYBALL set for release later this year.
