Suvari talks Day of the Dead

Earlier today, I was pondering what had become of the Steve Miner-directed, Jeffrey Reddick-scripted remake of (based on the news that Reddick was directing his own feature – read that story ). Well, lo and behold, brings us an interview with its star, the pretty lass Mena Suvari. Unfortunately, it doesn’t answer the question “when does it finally come out?” any further than the vague “later this year.”

Suvari says,”Day of the Dead is like [Zack Snyder’s 2004] Dawn of the Dead. It’s a remake. Steve Miner directed it, and he, like, created Friday the 13th. So that was awesome. That was two and a half months in Bulgaria, six-day weeks, and I did all my own stunts. It was fun.”

Right. Well, aside from the facts that this movie has nothing to do with (except of course the “remake” connection), and that Steve Miner did not create , Mena brings up some interesting points… They don’t end there.

“Yeah, I’m kind of saving the day in that film. And that was great. It was action, and I really challenged myself. Like I said, I did all my own stunts, and that was really fun.”

Apparently, it was fun. And she did her own stunts.
