Swain gets Slaughtered

The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that Australian hottie Dominique Swain (DEAD MARY) just landed the title role in the upcoming horror flick SLAUGHTERED for Maverick Red and Angel Baby Entertainment.

See, I could probably just stop this story right there and you’d be satisfied. Swain is smokin’ hot, and the movie’s called SLAUGHTERED. What more do you need to know??? Ok, but there is more, so I’ll earn that paycheck and tell you about it in more detail.

SLAUGHTERED is the winning script of the Slamdance Film Festival Horror Screenplay Competition, and is the first flick to be made after winning the competition. Writing pair Nathan Brookes and Bobby Lee Darby must be freakin’ stoked that their script is: a) actually getting made into a feature film, and b) is the first film made from the competition. Two birds, one stone…. props!

SLAUGHTERED is about a young actress who travels to a remote desert location to shoot a film called ‘Slaughter’, only to discover she and her co-stars have been cast in a snuff film and must fight to survive.

It’s like VACANCY meets TURISTAS meets CLUB DREAD, all wrapped into one tasty adventure. So let me get this straight: Swain will be on a remote desert island? Bikinis worn by the cast will likely ensue… and yes, if this is the proof you need, dreams do come true!

Victor Garcia (RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL) is set to direct, which begins filming later this month in Los Angeles. Since this flick just made it to the top of my list, be sure to stick around for more updates (like who else is gonna star in this beast) as we hear it!

Oh, what I would give to be an inflatable shark right now…
