Syfy is Being Human

We Americans can’t get enough of British television. We love it so much, and yet we think it would be even BETTER without those fancy accents, so we bring those clever shows over here and “fix” them. We’ve found another one that needs correcting – this one sounds like a doozy.

The show in question is called “Being Human”. It revolves around three twentysomething roommates — who happen to be a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf — as they help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives.

Cute. Ironically, the show was originally pitched to the Sci-Fi channel in order to bring the network on as a co-producer, but it was passed on. Now it’s time to give it the old Americanization process, SYFY style! (It should be noted that the show is still going strong in the U.K.; after it’s very successful six-episode debut, it was picked up, and a second season will air early next year.)

BEING HUMAN doesn’t yet have a show-runner, but the goal is to get it on the air by Summer or Fall 2010.

Anybody out there ever seen it?
