Sylvester Stallone will be releasing a new Rambo 5 image every few days

Lionsgate has not yet announced the release date for RAMBO 5: LAST BLOOD, but until that mysterious date arrives star Sylvester Stallone will be taking to his Instagram account to share new images from the film "every few days". While the film itself is in color, the images Stallone will be posting are in black & white, and he has challenged fans to see if they can "follow along with the story using your imagination".

Directed by Adrian Grunberg from a screenplay Stallone wrote with Matt Cirulnick, RAMBO 5: LAST BLOOD will show us what happens when

John Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, crosses the U.S./Mexico border to help find the kidnapped daughter of one of his close friends. He quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent cartels.

Stallone is joined in the cast by Paz Vega as Carmen Delgado, "a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped"; Yvette Monreal as Gabrielle, the kidnapped daughter of Rambo's friend; and Sergio Peris-Mencheta as villainous cartel leader Hugo Martinez. Playing unspecified roles are Óscar Jaenada, Adriana Barraza, and Joaquin Cosio.

Kevin King Templeton and Les Weldon produced this new sequel, with Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, and Boaz Davidson serving as executive producers.

It will be fun to see what pictures Stallone posts, but I do hope there won't be a whole lot of "few days" between now and the release date.
