CORALINE hits theaters Friday, and to celebrate Nike are releasing a limited edition CORALINE edition of the Dunk. I kid you not folks. Just check out a couple pics above and below. Now you may be asking yourself why Nike are going out of their way to create a CORALINE shoe? Well here’s the reason Nike Blog gives: The movie is done by LAIKA studios, who own the former Will Vinton Studios (they were known for basically any big budget claymation), and who are owned by Phil Knight. And Knight of course is the co-founder and chairman of Nike.

Now the shoes are obviously a very unique pair. It’s got a stitched look to it, animal lace locks, and even tails! They come in a unique box and even have some kind of cotton candy looking stuff included. Nike Blog tells us that only 1000 of these CORALINE Dunks were made, and they’ll be released in a very interesting way. In order to get these sneakers, you have to watch CORALINE on opening day and wait until after the credits for a special message on how to get these bad boys.

Well that works. At least they’re making it interesting! Check out more pictures of the sneakers at Nike Blog. So if your interested in these limited edition sneakers, make sure to catch CORALINE in theaters this Friday!
