T4 logo & concept

Since the sad passing of creature creator Stan Winston, we haven’t heard much out of the TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS camp. We headed to the film’s OFFICIAL BLOG today and noticed it has been updated with the film’s new LOGO, and even has some sweet concept art of a post 2029 Los Angeles.

No surprise that the same TERMINATOR font style is being used here, but not totally the same, which is good. I dig the destroyed finish of the font as it sets the setting for the post-apocalyptic world the film is based in.

While you’re there, you can also check out some early concept art of Los Angeles, overridden by HKs and rubble, echoing quite closely to the future James Cameron envisioned in both TERMINATOR and T2. It’s nice to see McG’s vision (thus far) is not so far off from the original source material… who knows, maybe a PG-13 TERMINATOR film will rock our socks off!

To check out the full concept art and logo, including McG’s announcement that TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS will be dedicated to Winston’s memory, click HERE, and get ready for a Schwarzenegger-less TERMINATOR in theaters next May.
