We were already aware that TAKEN 2 (as we’ll call it for now) was well underway, with Liam Neeson returning to the role of Bryan Mills, Luc Besson producing and 20th Century Fox distributing. But how close are we actually to being kidnapped by this action badassery?
According to Coming Soon.net, the film will begin shooting in October in L.A. This info comes straight from Mr. Besson, who is currently out and about promoting COLUMBIANA. Plot details are still under wraps.
In addition to that info, Besson revealed that Famke Janssen will return as Neeson’s ex-wife, Lenore. Maggie Grace also returns as daughter Kim, which we already knew.
Oliver Megaton (COLUMBIANA) is directing the sequel, which doesn’t have an official title just yet. (TAKEN AGAIN?) The flick is currently without a release date, but smart money would be on a date similar to the first one’s successful opening weekend. (Which was the last weekend of January in 2008.)
