Just as Asian horror master Takashi Miike graced Eli Roth’s HOSTEL with a cameo appearance, Quentin Tarantino is now doing Miike a solid and appearing in Miike’s upcoming SUKIYAKI WESTERN: DJANGO. The film is being billed as Japan’s “first true western” and has the following official plot synopsis: “Set during “The Genpei Wars” at the end of the 1100s, the Minamoto and Taira gangs face off in a town named Yuda, while a deadly gunman (Ito Hideaki) comes to the aid of the townsfolk.” Production had already wrapped on the film but this week had been reserved so Tarantino could fly in and shoot his scenes with actress Kaori Momoi.
