THR has learned that Orphan Black actress Tatiana Maslany will star opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in WHY WE'RE KILLING GUNTHER. Maslany has been cast as the female lead in the ensemble hitman film, which will also feature the talents of Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan, Paul Brittain, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park and Ryan Gaul.

WHY WE'RE KILLING GUNTHER will follow "a group of eccentric international assassins who become fed up with Gunther, the world's greatest hitman who also happens to be an arrogant show-off, and decide to kill him. Their master plan, however, quickly turns into a series of embarrassing encounters as Gunther always appears one step ahead."

The script for the action-comedy comes from Saturday Night Live and THE HEAT actor Taran Killam, who will also direct and have a co-starring role in the movie, and filming will likely kick off this June once SNL goes on its summer hiatus.

The next episode of Orphan Black Season 4 will air on May 12th, while Maslany's upcoming big screen projects include Kim Nguyen's TWO LOVERS AND A BEAR and David Gordon Green's Boston Marathon bombing pic STRONGER.
