Teaser trailer for Steven Quale’s Into the Storm

I'm sure you can all agree that tornadoes can be a real pain in the dick sometimes. Those violent bastards show up out of nowhere tossing cows (sometimes even sharks) around like they're nothing, destroying everything in their path. Well, folks, New Line Cinema urges you to take cover because they've got one nasty twister headed our way on August 8th with INTO THE STORM, a found-footage thriller from FINAL DESTINATION 5 director Steven Quale.

On tap is the film's first teaser trailer featuring a lot of words and wind, and from what I can tell there are no sharks present, thankfully. INTO THE STORM is told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, throwing you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Directed by Steven Quale, INTO THE STORM stars Richard Armitage (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Sarah Wayne Callies (TV’s “The Walking Dead”), Matt Walsh (Ted), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Where the Devil Hides), Arlen Escarpeta (Final Destination 5), Nathan Kress (TV’s “iCarly”), Jon Reep (Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay), and Jeremy Sumpter (Soul Surfer, TV’s “Friday Night Lights”).
