Ted: TV series based on Seth MacFarlane film ordered at Peacock

If you like your plush bears naughty and full of beer and foul language, you're in luck! Peacock has given a straight-to-series order to Ted, a live-action comedy series based on Seth MacFarlane’s hit 2012 movie.

As part of an effort to make the project as legit as they come, MacFarlane is negotiating to reprise his role as the bastard cousin of Snuggle Bear, Ted. I'm just kidding about Ted and Sunngle Bear being related, of course, but you can see the resemblance, right? For the moment, there are no plans for Mark Wahlberg or Mila Kunis to reprise their roles. MacFarlane and Erica Huggins will executive produce through MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door.

The Ted film series revolves around John Bennett (Wahlberg), a man whose childhood wish of bringing his teddy bear to life came true. Later in life, John finds himself having to choose between his friendship with Ted (MacFarlane) or a future with his girlfriend Lori (Kunis). Throughout the course of their journey, John and Ted get up to all manner of shenanigans for an off-color comedy that's as adorable as it is immature. Ted and Ted 2 have made a combined total of more than $750 million worldwide.

Do you think there's still plenty of stuffing left in MacFarlane's Ted property, or should the bear be sold at the next yard sale? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
