Teens unleash a demon in the supernatural thriller Playback

Stupid teenagers unleashing a demon that f*cks up their town sounds like a good ol’ time, doesn’t it? So it’s with that forced excitement that I come here today to tell you all about PLAYBACK, a new supernatural thriller heading our way courtesy of Bennett Robbins Productions and Emmett/Furla Films.

News on the new project is coming at us from Variety, who state that Michael A. Nickles will be directing the feature from his own script. Starring in this little diddy will be Johnny Pacar, Toby Hemingway, Brooke Smith, Alessandra Torresani (below), Jonathan Keltz, Ambyr Childers (right), Daryl Mitchell and Jennifer Missoni. So what’s the rundown on PLAYBACK? Check it:

PLAYBACK follows a group of high school students who dig into their town’s infamous past and unwittingly unlock a demon that preys upon their classmates. Possessing its victims through video playback, the demon closes in on one specific soul, threatening to expose the town’s deepest, darkest secret.
