Hard to believe the series is already reaching it’s tenth film, isn’t it? That’s right ladies and gentlemen. There have been 10, count em 10 PUPPET MASTER flicks. No need to run through the list… Seriously no need. But the franchise does have it all. It’s got the classic original film, some really awesome moments, some really pathetic moments, a few corny installments, a Versus flick and Corey Feldman. Yes even Corey Feldman. See why I love this franchise?
Anyway I’m here today to talk to you all about PUPPET MASTER: AXIS OF EVIL, the tenth film in the franchise. You may remember back in November, when I showed you all the trailer for AXIS OF EVIL. Well a few months later and we’ve finally got a release date for this beauty! June 15th!
The news comes from over at the film’s Facebook page alongside a look at the DVD cover art for the film, which can be seen directly below. Pretty awesome right? Who doesn’t love seeing homicidal puppets bursting out of a swastika? That’s what I thought.
In a stateside hotel during the height of World War II, young Danny Coogan dreams of joining the war effort. Following the murder of hotel guest Mr. Toulon by Nazi assassins, Danny finds the old man’s crate of mysterious puppets and is suddenly thrust into a battle all his own. He discovers that Nazis Max and Klaus, along with beautiful Japanese saboteur Ozu, plan to attack a secret American manufacturing plant. After his family is attacked and his girlfriend Beth is kidnapped, it is up to Danny and the living deadly Puppets to stop this Axis of Evil…
AXIS OF EVIL comes from director David DeCoteau, who’s directed three other films in the franchise. It stars Levi Fiehler, Jenna Gallaher, Taylor M. Graham, Tom Sandoval and Jerry Hoffman. Enjoy the trailer below and get ready for PUPPET MASTER: AXIS OF EVIL on June 15th!
