From Coppola to Park…not too bad at all!
Alden Ehrenreich (TETRO, TWIXT), discovered by Steven Spielberg via video at a bat mitzvah, is the latest to discuss taking a starring role in Chan-wook Park’s new English language thriller STOKER. As you know, Ehrenreich will join Nicole Kidman (below), Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Jackie Weaver and Lucas Till.
Word from Variety is Ehrenreich will play Whip Taylor, an alpha dog on the football team who’s initially kind to Wasikowska’s protag despite the fact that his jock friends pick on her, though he eventually forces himself on her.
From actor-cum-writer Wentworth Miller (Ted Foulke), STOKER centers on an eccentric teen named India Stoker who, while mourning the death of her father, suddenly must deal with an uncle who mysteriously appears…and the strange things that then happen.
STOKER comes out sometime next year.
