A potentially very annoying movie just got even more potentially annoying. At a screening for his new flick THE ROCKER (which is probably headache-inducingly irritating), Rainn Wilson revealed that he’ll be appearing in TRANSFORMERS 2 as a college professor. The character will most likely get into some faux-hilarious back-and-forths with Shia LaBeouf’s obnoxious character, before being robo-pissed on by a jerky robot. That’s just an educated guess, though.
I actually like Wilson on THE OFFICE, but that’s because the show uses him well, and his worst traits are exploited by the writers for entertaining effect. When used incorrectly, his very appearance can cause nausea and an uncontrollable urge to punch your entire arm through the screen (see: JUNO). With Michael “a performance isn’t acted until it’s OVERacted” Bay, I fear Wilson’s few minutes of screentime will be distressingly lame. (Plus it’s in 3-D! Can you imagine that mug coming right out at ya?!)
