Ever since it was formally announced that the STAR WARS saga would be coming to Blu-ray, all we really knew was that it would be in September of this year. Well now we have a release date so all the uber-hardcore nerds can start camping out.
The Complete STAR WARS Saga hits Blu-ray, in one massive box-set or in separate trilogy box sets, on September 16, 2011.
As a reminder, it’ll set you back $139.99 for the Complete Saga or if you want to buy the original or new trilogy, each of those sets are $69.99. Or you could just wait until Lucasfilm does the right thing and gives the original theatrical releases of the original trilogy a Blu-ray release (what you’ll be buying here are the CGI-enhanced re-releases from the late-90s).
