The CW already has itself vampires in “The Vampire Diaries” as well as… well, all manner of monsters in “Supernatural”, and now they’re bringing the undead into the fold.
The network has bought the hourlong spec script “Awakening” from Bill Laurin and Glenn Davis. The story centers on two combative sisters who come of age amid the beginning of a zombie uprising.
I’m always down from some shambling ghouls, and with “The Walking Dead” phenomenon, it’s not surprising that we’re going to see more of them on the boob tube. I just hope this doesn’t end up being “Gossip Girl” with zombies…
